Stumbled upon this fine establishment while goggling my handle for something unrelated. lol
Anyway just wanted to say hi and say it's nice to see some of the same names and folks still playing with one another, hope your all doing well.
Some day soon I'll have to fire up tf2 and come here and play a couple rounds (I do own the game but have barely ever played it).

My man, KH, soooo nice to hear from you sir! As always I am forever in yours and Rob's debt for giving me Shiver long before it was released publicly! I had tons of fun running that with NeoTf, and AdminMod on my server, and I had some kick ass plugins that made AdminMod so much more fun :-) CHAOS. But mainly Shiver was the core, heart and soul of it all. AWESOME work sir. I wonder, is there anything you can do in metamod source? Something along the lines of a jet pack or even a hook ;-)? I had a working one, and somehow, managed to lose it. Either way, it is awesome to see you. _________________ Play for blood, remember? |

Hey there Knighhawk, how have you been? Good to see you still kicing anyways
Looking forward to fragging with you again maybe.
Hey Doc, I think Bloodmoss told us that Rob had been working on something, AOP I think it was, but since our loss, I have no idea what ever happened to it _________________

Hunter, AOP IF done by THE Rob of Shiver, would be something I would LOVE to look at or beta test at this point! It would be something that once again could be awesome per his usual. However, I've come to meet some other gentlemen who are equally as impressive to me in the Source modding as Rob was and probably still would be. AOP sounds like AutoOpSource waiting to be born. You guys remember AutoOp Shodan, Shiver's younger brother don't ya? :-) It was what made GP2 MY favorite server until I built Tombstone. Super, super, stuff man. To me anyway, just old Doc, the mad bomber. LoL But hey, I cleared us many a path, and you covered my ass many times with your deadly sniper's supporting fire for sure. Geez, I miss those days. Capping flags with one health left, running my ass off just clearing the way either with or against, NNO the best Demo I ever faced. (No Name Outlaw.) Then of course his damned brother, Josey Wales. Deadly with a rifle! I'd like to believe that I played a pretty solid demo myself on occasion. Or, whatever had to be done to get us that damned flag. Well NEVER an HW. Just could not bear it. To fat and slow for me. _________________ Play for blood, remember? |

Glad you guys are having still having fun and enjoyed all that stuff.
As for sourcemod or whatever is out there now I have no idea about it all, rob contacted me some time back... about a year ago now and he was working on some HL2\TF2 mod (he caught me on steam chat) for fun, I played with it a bit on his local box (server) had the hook working and stuff and a couple other cute things, I was so new to the game I barely knew what was 'game' and what were his add-ons lol . Not sure what ever happened to that as I was on less and less as was he after a couple days of playing around. I'd only played TF2 for like an hour or two a day after I was home for a couple weeks str8 recovering after some surgery (nothing too serious) last winter. Sounded like he was just playing around for fun more then making another run at a fully packed tool but who knows that kid could do anything if he put his mind to it. LOL I said kid... he's no kid anymore.
Not even opened steam in about 6mo I think.... and that was just to get the load of updates I knew was piling up.
Ahh the glory days.

Shiver was quite the piece of work looking back now, as was RX and the first AutoOp, alot of fun to help build even though Rob did most the heavy lifting. Mapping was pretty fun too but so darn tedious, poopshoot's SHORT BUS!! was just so dam funny, I nearly sh1t myself the first time he showed it to me.
Yeah Wales was one fine shot, back in my prime I could go toe to toe with him sniping...well close enough anyway. So many players, so much fun!
BTW when you guys say you lost BMoss you mean like he stopped playing right, not like he passed away right? I ran into him awhile back as well as the other folks that were on gptavern site, was amazed too that those folks kept that running so long till last spring. |

Bloodmoss did actually pass away. If I recall correctly, it was a stroke. Back in June of last year. _________________ The unforgivable crime is soft hitting. Do not hit at all if it can be avoided; but never hit softly. ~Theodore Roosevelt ~ |

Speaking of RX, you wouldn't happen to have a copy of that around, would you? I asked Crafty, and he didn't have it. _________________ Logic is a bouquet of beautiful flowers ... that smell bad! |

KnightHawk was NASTY, don't you rememeber the map Knightsnipe? I do believe that was his for a reason :-) The old days were awesome.
I wonder, if this thing Rob was just playing around with would be a possibly metamod capable plugin, or even one that I could set in the gameinfo game file as the main dll not only in TF2 ( I HATE that game), then get it to load metamod, which in course I would use to load ShellShock, the HL2DM mod that I use, it is VERY reminiscent of the outlandishness I grew accustomed to then LoL I can't code, but I'm a mad scientist when it comes to getting other mods to run together with various plugins, etc. I'd love to see it if available, I'll play with it in metamod for sure! Or, even as a replacement for SS, if it gives more toys ;-) _________________ Play for blood, remember? |

Metamod is for HL1 only. Not only will Metamod not work with HL2, but it isn't needed anyway, because HL2 has that functionality built in. I doubt that any HL1 mods will work with HL2, nor will HL2 mods work with HL1. They are totally different games. _________________ Logic is a bouquet of beautiful flowers ... that smell bad! |
